Holistic Orchardist Network Membership

Full-fledged memberships in the Holistic Orchardist Network are what make certain the Community Orchard movement.

Basic membership is achieved once $100 in cumulative donations has been received. Grower members are eligible for a regional listing in our Community Orchard search engine . . . this is how apple lovers are going to find you! But more than that, investing those hard-earned orchard dollars makes possible the teachings and refined nuance on these web pages. Fruit growers need to step to the plate to enable the site-based research that is relevant for the growing of healthy fruit on a small-scale. Explore the many nooks and crannies of GrowOrganicApples.com and you will quickly realize the potential of all we can achieve together.

Admittedly our intentions are to keep all aspects of this site open to everyone whether you are a member or not. A pretty radical notion, eh? From the free newsletter to blog interaction to perusing cutting edge articles to research participation. Those recognizing the full value of what's offered here know that any community effort needs financial backing to accomplish the reality -- Public Radio being one example of how pledge support from willing members makes a quality effort possible.

Click that button and agree to a minimum twenty units of "holistic intention" and you are a supporting member of the Holistic Orchardist Network. Or, if you prefer, we invite you to send a check made out to Michael Phillips to:

All contributions will be acknowledged in the next edition of the Community Orchardist newsletter. We can send you a receipt for your investment in the Holistic Orchardist Network (if requested) as well. Network support can be deducted as a legitimate business expense -- commercial growers categorize such as 'advertising' or 'ongoing education' or 'membership in a professional organization.'

The next step takes us on to the details of who you be. We need your full array of contact information to create your community orchard listing. It's your call if you want us to post your phone number and/or email address on the world-wide web. Orchard websites are encouraged for this is the best way to convey to fruit lovers what you offer, the label you choose to describe your management approach, and pertinent marketing information.

We do post logo graphics so please send us that personalized artwork (in j-peg format, preferably) that expresses your unique orcharding spirit.

We ask that all members desiring a community orchard listing agree to certain Holistic Core Values. We expect you to openly share with interested customers all management choices deemed necessary on a particular orchard site. Many of our growers do not use any chemicals at all and are thus good resources for sharing holistic alternatives to more allopathic means.

Don't have a logo? No worry. This Cox Orange Pippin has got you covered!

Then of course come the responsibilities of membership:

  • enthusiasm for the incredible teachings of the orchard
  • sharing ecosystem observations with other growers
  • participating in holistic orchard trials
  • feedback on the postings of this network
  • ongoing financial support in years to come
  • love of this good earth and its giving trees

It's good to have you on board, mate!
